LOL, they already had a Gameboy Advance SP capable to display autostereoscopic 3D content! Just the resolution was too low for a marketable device. Also, the (well, every!) Gamecube has 3D circuitry built-in!! Hook it up to a 3D TV and add some shutterglasses with game, and you have a 3D console! w00t! :D
